How much trimming to fit this setup?

I want to get some 20x9 fuel hostage wheels with a -12 offset and some 33x12.50 nitto mud grapplers I have the 3 inch pro comp lift on my truck now and I was wondering how much trimming I would have to do to fit that setup or even if I could I know the wheels have a 4.5 inch back spacing and from what I've looked at so far that seems to be the choice of any size tires around a 33 but I wanted to be sure before I spent the money thanks

With the angle of attack offered up by those wheels, the Rubicon will be pure child's play.

All kidding aside, the Silverado is bigger (at least in appearance) truck than the Tacoma is. 20" rims might look a little odd on the Tacoma whereas they probably looked a little more proportionally "correct" on your Silverado. Try doing a search for photos of 20s on Tacomas and see what you think of the look before you commit to that size. Good luck!

When I put a lift I'm going according to everyone who has posted donkey style. I've seen a a few with 20" rims and I like the style personally but to each their own.

    Trimming instructions for larger tires

    1) cut
    2) beat
    2) repeat until tire clears

    I have 33s and 20x9s

People on here (the majority) have their trucks just for offroad. So 20s to them are "mall crawlers". 20s aren't ideal for off-roading. But my truck is on road ALOT more than off. You bought your truck for you, so build it for you! Forget what these people or anyone else says

My truck now has a 3" OME full leaf packs with front rear plate bumpers and a winch. I still use my truck offroad. You can do it. It's all preference

I just joined tonight and was wondering the same info. I would like to have 20s with 33 or 35 in tires. I cant get a 6in lift bc it will void my warranty. Was wondering if a 3inch lift would work or would I need to do a body lift also? thanks for the help

Wanting 35's and worried about warranty DONT go in the same sentence.

With my 33s and 20s and the cheapest way to get about 3" I had to do the cab mount chop, and LOTS of trimming. But now I have a real lift and its fine.

Like I said, warranty and wanting oversized tires don't really go together either. If you're that worried about your warranty then I'd go 31s or something (not saying its impossible, but more feasible defiantly)
