    Like, so many.
A truck with a well done suspension would move to the head of the line for me.

zero, most dealers will actually use it as an excuse to low ball you on trade, put yourself in the future buyer's prospective, it's a gamble not knowing who did the work, how the truck was used, etc.

Maybe it's just midlife gen X-er shit creeping up, but won't even look at a vehicle with a bunch of mods. I also eat Grape Nuts and plain Cherrios if that says anything.

zero. It will just sell faster or slower for those that don’t want your mods. NADA, KBB, whatever is what they usually go by. If it’s a dealer, they go by current auto auction sales for your model.

    Nothing special
They might get excited if the tires are good with lots of tread, but I've found the further you get away from stock, the more they start bucking.

From experience, they went right for tires, didn't care about the lift, tonneau, etc.

I'd pay more for a truck that hasn't been screwed with.

OP, I disagree with most folks here. Partly because maybe they are a build not bought crowd, or maybe states are different, but modded trucks here in Cali sell well and for 30-50% of mods as others stated. Most people out here just want a cool looking ride and don't care what's on. 33s and a good stance, and it sells.

The challenge is that lenders won't finance over a certain book value, so that if you sell a truck with mods at $35k, and it books at $31k, the buyer needs to come up with the difference.

It's always funny when someone has a truck that's worth maybe 5-8k and they're asking for 22k bc of their mods

It depends if you're selling to a dealer or private party, and it depends on the mod. Some mods add zero, some add at least a percentage of retail value. I'd say the best you can hope for is 50% recovery for significant mods, like upgrading the suspension. For the wheels, maybe you could add 20% of the cost. For stuff like ECT always on and modified lights, pretty much nothing. In fact, messing with lighting and wiring might be a turn off for some people.

At the end of the day, it's your truck. Price it how you want, there is probably someone out there who will pay for it and if not, drop the price. Some people want a truck already built, some want it totally stock. There is no hard and fast rule, except to say that you definitely won't recoup everything you spent.

Leveled with Bilstein 5100 shocks, Kumho AT52 265/75 tires, Redline hood struts, R4T tailgate lock, Matt Gecko LED strips in bed and under hood, WeatherTech hood guard, OEM bed mat, Husky floor mats, Carhart seat covers, Grille replacement with Toyota letters, Sony AX6000 replacement head unit, OTT lite/mild tune, and an occasional splash of fuel additive.
I think some of those mods might help with private buyer if you document what it is and why you did it. I’d look and listen. Maybe not worth dollars but worth a push for the value of the benefits, ride, operation. Won’t make it back unless buyer really wants the truck. Dealers won’t care, and they might use these upgrades against you. Good luck.

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
Negative value. I don't want what you thought was cool. I also worked sales at a nationwide dealership. If it was slight, bolt-on mods I would tell the prospective trade-in's to go home restore the vehicle to stock and return.

Thanks for all the thoughts and advice. Like I said, still it sure I’m selling, but good to know what I’d be looking at. Appreciate the differing viewpoints.

Sell it to a private party buyer or sell it at a auction with a reserve set , you'll make more money this way

The Barrett Jackson Scottsdale Auction last month had bunch of newer trucks roll over the auction block for serious $$$$$
