here are some different modes out there. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mode_(music)

But seriously, did you really have to point that out?

They add nothing to the value, but may help you sell it quicker, but they will also limit who will consider it. Personally, I'd rather find a good stock vehicle than one that's been modified to who knows what specs. Many people like me prefer to do their own wrench turning.

Gotta realize that if you take off a perfectly good OEM part that dealer would charge $500 to replace and you replace it with an aftermarket part that cost you $600, then doesn’t matter how good looking it is, your truck has not gone up in value by more than $100. If your Tacoma is still under warrantee, then that mod may decrease the value as that part of your truck is no longer covered by warranty and depending on mod may void other parts from warranty .

The only mods that could possibly "enhance" value come straight out of the TRD catalog. Even then, its debatable.

Nice truck. You’ll sell it no problem. You’ll take a bath on the mods though.

lol yeah I know. I was just listing stuff as it came to my mind. In reality, the only things that I thought might do something was the suspension (even though only a block in the rear) and wheels/tires. Maybe some of the lighting.

I think as long as the mods are removable and you still have stock pieces if they were changed, then zero.

As to trade in value, even with TRD Toyota approved items there is zero allowance. When I was negotiating my 2019 OR purchase, I was trading in a truck with a fairly new (1000 miles) TRD Skid Plate, Cat Back, CAI, HomeLink mirror and bed mat. They added nothing for these items, but they did switch them to the new truck for a minimal labor charge which I was fine with.

Nice Truck! You'll probably get 28,000 or so if you sell it now. Keep it 5 more years and put 100,000 more miles on it and you will probably get 22,000 for it.

Last 2 cars i had i always kept the stock parts, then sold the aftermarket parts. I think i got around like around 3grand back or so. Use that money to buy parts again and repeat. The extra cash from selling aftermarket parts is nice lol

16" 285 E-rated KO2's and 5100's maxed out on Block spacer lifts are the single most popular items on this message board. OP will be able to sell his wheels/tires and lift within a week here.
LOL its a coin toss if the dealer will be smart enough to realize the drive-train was re-wired for ECT always-on.

They gave me $10k on that stripped and lifted 2001 with 108k miles on it in 2009. I saw it on the lot the following week. They were asking $16,500. It was on their lot for a few months at least before it disappeared. Probably went to auction.

You have to assume zero as a rule of thumb BUT...... if you’re in no hurry to sell it, list it as is wit my whatever price you decide and the right buyer is out there who will see the value in what you’ve done. It will just take longer to find that perfect buyer.

Doesn't the light on the dash come on?

I'd deduct $1500 for this mod. Just something about people messing around with wiring that I don't trust. It might have to do with the horror story as a tech where I took an entire aftermarket alarm out of a car and threw it in the trash.
