How much weight can our tailgate handle?

    Snug top Rebel, Thule tracks, ditch tracks, Bagged rear suspension, F/R anytime camera, intermittent wiper switch...
    You might also rent an AC hoist to save your backs. It's like a hand crank fork lift on wheels.

    I put a lot of weight on it every time I load my quad in the back. Once it is in I put it as far forward as I can to keep weight off, but when loading....

    I got a 380lb fridge and 155lb me on it. Felt solid but I wouldn't want to put anymore than that on it just for piece of mind.

    At the price of tailgates these days remove it. Its slightly a pain in the ass climbing underneath to disconnect the camera connector. They went way over kill on that thing. They really could have made it easier. I wont risk bending the tailgate.

    Do you have a link to these vendors? I remember someone saying that they replaced the tailgate cover with something more functional I believe. But I can't find it anywhere.

    I put this in the bed and when I was taking it out by myself I used the tailgate as a pivot point. At one point it was resting entirely on the tailgate. Not sure how much it weighs, but it was a lot...

    it's an old nautilus chain driven weighted pullup/dip machine with a 250lb weight stack...so yeah it pretty much is...
