How much weight?

Quick question.... first truck I’ve owned and really don’t use at a truck for hauling other than groceries lol. I have a 2015 Tacoma limited 2wd prerunner and looking at redoing my landscape in the front of my house. Question it.... anyone have an idea of how much weight/lbs. I can have in the bed of the truck before being concerned? Needing to haul moss rock boulders, sod, dirt/mulch etc.... thanks in advance

 

You should have a chart showing what capacities your truck is able to carry in your owner's manual good luck

You'll find it's surprisingly little. The manual gives total weights so if you have 3 X 250 lb friends with you you might reach the limit with a few hundred lbs in the box. With only a driver it's around 1,000 lbs but with rocks, gravel, cement etc. that's a surprisingly small amount. I was at my limit with one garbage can full of cement. But then......

 

Rule of thumb if the bed is sitting on the tires it most likely to much weight !!

Have the place your buying from deliver it saves much wear and tear and frustration
