Some of the scoop bashing is pretty funny but consider that some sport guys started rock crawling 40 years ago. I looked at the OR & Pro but wanted the electronic package, roof, 6 ft of sleeping room that the sport had & the scoop was simply a bonus. I no longer have the need or a strong enough back to get crazy so the sport ride and heated seat work for me. I did have to add KO2’s for the mud. Great site and great info from both thumb_DSC_0001_1024.jpg scoop and non scoop people.

The scoop is only good for one thing.

The scoop is as functional as the locker and CC for 90% of OR guys.

In all seriousness, I would've preferred the truck came with the scoop. I'm not too hung up on the look, though. Never been big on scoops on any vehicle but I will say that if it were an option on the OR I would have taken it.

Estimated shipping on that hood was $125! That's the cheapest I've seen from any one of those online parts dealerships.

Negative Hood-Scoop visibility comments are huge exaggerations and don't mean anything. The basic hood is already Very long and visibility is reduced significantly compared to a 2nd or 1st gen.

Just don’t tell or ask or Hawaiian friends...shipping is more than the hood, and just under the price of a base SR Tacoma.

LOL! I bet! Shipping is kind of ridiculous from some of those sites though. $80 shipping for a grille!? Come one now... Dang thing weighs 5lbs.

The whole “it reduces visibility” thing is lost on me. I’m 6 feet tall, my wife 5’1 and we can see just fine. We don’t have issues with glare either, but we do have the black decal on there. I don’t even get why some people care so much. I’m not going around shitting on people who get the TRDOR even though I don’t like certain aspects of how it looks. That and the 4Lo can get me through anything I would personally put it through. Again....this is all just me. We all obviously love the Tacoma there’s no sense in shitting on someone just because they like something different...

eBay seller do that sometimes to avoid commission payouts to eBay. $1 for the grill, $129 shipping lol.

If shipping it outrages and not like other averages, it’s because some of those sites use an algorithm that bases shipping on value, not size and weight. For example I ordered four color matched door handles to replace my chrome ones and when I came to check out, shipping was $80...we’re talking a smal 6x6x6 box, 5lbs...I ended up calling them saying I love your pricing but your shipping is very inaccurate, they adjusted it to flat rate $20. Don’t hesitate to call them out on it if other places ship for less, it should not affect the selling price if you’re getting a deal. Don’t shy away, call them and tell them “every where else shipping is $xxx”

I have way too much time on my hands....Sorry:notsure:

Yeah I'd have a skewp on my OR. I think it adds a nice bit of beefiness from the profile view!
