I am looking to sell my truck in the near future to upgrade. I have never sold a vehicle before so I am unsure of how much my vehicle is actually worth. Here's the specs on it:
    2003 Silver Toyota Tacoma Limited
    3.4L V6 4x4
    ~240000 km or 150000 miles
Power Locks (currently not working), Power Windows
    Tow Package (Has been re-wired)
2 sets of tires on rims (winter and summer)
    Matching Canopy with roof racks.

All general maintenance has been kept up with, timing belts, water pump, thermostat were changed at around 200000km. Some small dents but nothing major and some rusting on the chrome bumpers.

My question is I have seen some dealerships selling the same vehicle for around $17000 CAD, but I am aware that there is a markup at dealerships. I have seen 2000-2004 Tacoma's going from anywhere from 6000-14000 but all have differing mileages. With everything the way it is and the engine in good sound condition, how much would you be comfortable paying or how much should I list it at? I was originally looking to sell for around 10k, but now I am maybe thinking more based on the dealerships price.

    Whats do you all think?

    Here is an image.

Always post it higher and set a price in your mind that you won't go below

I sold my 02 Xcab 4x4 TRD Offroad with around 150K miles back in may...posted it for $10K US and got $8K

$5.00 Door locks not operating devalues the truck by $12,495 J/K

Look up the blue book value of the truck. That will tell you the value of your truck.

A nice 1st gen PreRunner in California is gold. Most sell very well above Blue Book.

Agreed. I went nationwide and picked up a mint 04 in AZ. Getting rare, best looking Gen and they aint making them no mo.

Personally, for yours, I wouldn't go down under $10K. It will take the right buyer but he is out there. Be patient.

That is fine.....but it is a good starting point for the value of the vehicle.

in California, you don't take less than $11,500 for that if no frame rust and otherwise in nice condition.

Well OP asked what I would pay. I gave my advice, as I follow the market closely.

I don't live where OP lives.

If OP wants advice from his neighbors only, he needs to post in some Canada forum, eh?

Different parts of the provinces different prices

Here in New Brunswick people are selling them with frame replaced so they say for around 7500

There's 2 2004s posted today its ugly looking needs a bit of work $6100
Posted yesterday 2004 dc short bed $4000

    Posted from Moncton and Fredericton

I was trying to sell my 2001 4cyl 2.7 I was asking 5500 I wanted 3500 to 4500 but only got low ballers so I took it off to keep it
