    Yeah I think he will learn from that, and will clean his chain differently next time.
    I always clean my chain at home without running it and without warming up the chain. It says to warm it up on the cleaner can, but I figure it's not safe to clean it the way he did and run the bike off of the ground. Or I spray the chain after getting off of the track and getting the dirt off.
    It's not the best way to do it but it will be fine.

    So not only is he careless while doing routine maintenance, but he has also seen fit to total a K6 1000. His screwing up his hand might be the best thing that ever happened to him. I don't know a lot of people who total numerous motorcycles, usually you just get one shot at that.
