Stonewall is the fattest 5 lug slug ever
My truck does a little bit*cough-cough-alot* of everything. Get groceries, haul newspapers, haul scrap, haul my lawn care equipment, tow around the siblings, take dad to work, etc. (Things are getting a little better again though, with my sister's car being back.) But as a result of all of this constantly being on the go, I never have time to do anything, especially not wash the truck. When I first got the truck, I was giving it a bath every week or so. Now that me and Stonewall (the truck) are always haftin to go somewhere, he doesn't get baths very often. I'm lucky if I have enough time to pick up the trash in the cab sometimes. People are very good at throwing their trash wherever they please in my truck. And my dad is always leaving coffee cups, but I won't kill him for it. :D
I was going to try to give Stonewall a well-deserved bath today, but it's not going to happen. I gotta pick Dad up in 30 minutes, so the most that is going to happen is maybe getting a little of the trash out of the cab, and if I can, wash the windows.

Stonewall is a little less dirty right now, because of the rain. Free baths! Most of the mud on Stonewall is from the scrap yard. The entrance is always muddy.

I suppose the real question is, does your regular cleaning regime involve a toothbrush.

Personally, I am not the immaculate type. I am trying to keep it "90% clean". I figure with frequent 90% cleaning, plus periodic visits to detailers, I'll get 99% of the benefit without the stress of having to have everything perfect.

To me, cleanliness is not about looks, but about maintenance and serviceability. Parts that are kept clean last longer, and parts that are clean are more pleasant to service. So I don't care if I can shave in the reflection on my tailpipe, so long as it's clean and free of dirt/grime/rust.

Just a bunch of old crap
Mine had it's first full hand wash in 9 months this past Friday. If I have weekly off-road or camping trips, I don't wash it until I know I won't be out of the dirt for at least 4 weeks. That doesn't happen very often.

i wash mine every other week or so. it doesn't get very dirty in SoCal (most the year i does not rain) and it's garaged. it's silver, and that helps.

it's perfect, in and out. i even scrub down the rubber bed mat every now and then. Mother's Back to Black Tire Renew (not glossy and does not turn tires brown.) Full wax and detail with a Porter Cable orbital polisher a few times a year.

going on 4 years now. i fully admit it's a pretty boy truck. i use it for dates and rolling up to fancy places in Los Angeles. i've been off-roading a few times, but i was not plowing through thorn bushes, and i would not dare.

AFTER FIVE YEARS when it's paid off, i am leasing an EV for commuting in the carpool lane and this will be my "second vehicle" - then, i already decided to never wash it again.

and i'll hit the thorn bushes - on purpose.

    :)

A few mods here and there and counting....
Maybe once every month or every other month. It's a truck. I don't mind it being dirty. The weathertech floormats help out a great deal and the outside, i honestly dont care too much. But upon seeing this thread, i will fully clean it inside and out this weekend. :)

Louisiana. I can't wash it without it raining 1 day later. Usually stays dirty during the summer. Weekly washes the rest of the year.

Wash and spray wax every weekend...because it is BSP. I owned my silver Tundra for 5 years prior and I think I washed it twice.

I wash it if it rains, after a few days of a snow storm, wheeling trip. I use a quick detail spray for touch ups in between washes. I Iike a clean truck

Its a time thing for me, when I can take the time to clean my truck without feeling like an ahole, I do it. I have this thing called wife and kids that consumes primarily all my time so finding the time to pamper my truck is difficult.

That said I have a really hard time letting it go 3 weeks without a wash.

If this truck is anything like my last, I will detail it just about once a month at first, then after 6-8 months that will slip to once every 3 months, then after a year I will probably stop waxing it, but I'll still wash it every 3 months, then after 2 years I will probably wash it once a year. And then after 3 years it will never get washed again.

I'll second this. Just bought my Tacoma in July so I will probably be waxing it late September.

Once a month or so. I don't like to wash it without waxing afterwards. I started using Turtle Wax Ice Spray & it takes about 15 min. to do the whole truck, so I hope to do it more often. Couple things I like about it, is you just spray it on & wipe it off. Also, you can spray it on anything without that white residue. I even used it on my windows, works like Rain-X.:)
