I wash mine on Sundays (weather permitting)

I will NOT wash it on a Sunday if the forecast is calling for rain

UNLESS - I just took a trip and have a million bugs on the front end

IN THAT CASE - I will wash it even with rain in the forecast

Its a truck. It was wheeled in CO. Of course it has scratches.

I had to use the California duster this morning. Was covered in pollen.

1st thing I do when I come back into town is go by the car wash and use the hand wand to blast the bugs off before they have time to really stick to the paint/plastic.

Gotcha. Figured since you "washed" it 2-4 times a week you were anal about your paint like me.

It was scuffed when wife bought it. I guess I should say I spray it down 2 times a week not "wash". That way I don't have to send much time. I don't even use soap. Just spray and wipe dry.

I really spray the undercarriage a lot to avoid rust also.

Mud puddles next to my work don't help either. Lol.

it rained all last week, so I took it through some mud this weekend, looks better.

In the winter I tried to wash it once a week if it snowed, tried to keep the salt off.

I do mine every week. one week major clean, second week minor , third week major, and forth week minor . On major cleans I'll hand wash, wipe off, spray quik detailer, wipe off , rims, clean the interior, vacuum, and windows. On minor I'll take to the car wash and spray hot soap and rise. Just so it gets the bugs and bird crap off then hand dry. This keeps her looking purdy! BTW I never use the car wash brushes :crapstorm:

I wash mine maybe 6 times a year. Wax like once a year. I don't know how you you all have the time to do all this detailing constantly.

In my teens and early 20's I would typically wash my vehicles once a week.

I've only had my truck for two months, but certainly thought I would have washed it by hand at least twice by this point. I still have yet to hand wash it. I've been too busy (installed new hardwood and cabinets in the kitchen), and it's been raining a lot. Hopefully I can do it this week!

Just an FYI if you care, the spray and wipe method will cause TONS of fine swirls in the paint since you're effectively moving dirt around when you are drying it. Best method is 2 bucket with a grit guard. But again, just an FYI only if you care.
