;) My body feels that old - but on paper, it's not that old.

I'll be having my 11th anniversary of my 29th birthday in November. :D

32, but still feel like I'm 21. Still in the same shape as then, but the tell-tale signs of age are apparently starting to appear.

While I was crawling under my truck replacing the exhaust system yesterday (literally) my brother randomly said, "Wow. I never noticed how much your hair is receding."

He should have just kicked me. :)

mjp2, glad to hear you still feel young. I'm deteriorating fast. i'm 25 and don't feel anything like i did when i was 21. I have some permanant nerve damage in one of my wrists from a BMX accident, and for some reason the other wrist has recently decided it wants to hurt too. My knees have decided to take a hint from my wrists and start bothering me too (probably from jogging) and my hair has decided it is no longer happy on my head and wishes to make a new home for itself in the bathtub drain. I wonder if that laser comb thats been making so much of a stir lately actually works the way it's suppose too? Anyway my philosophy is this.... a man with a great head of hair can stand to be a little out of shape, but a balding/bald man has no choice but to be buff and cut as hell.... like Mr. Clean. I'm in decent shape but i need to start busting my ass with the rate i'm losing hair.

Damn that's funny! The office I work in has 4 guys that shave their heads because of the state of their natural hairline, and 1 other guy really should follow their lead. I'm not sure I have the right shaped head for that but I'm keeping it as a last resort. :)

Nerve damage from BMX? That's harsh. The only wrist problems I had were after an 8000 mile motorcycle road trip, and it was (thankfully!) only temporary. Oddly enough it was my left wrist that hurt, presumably from lack of activity since the right hand was working the throttle and was fine. When I got home I had my chiropractor adjust my wrists and everything was back to normal. (A good, legitimate chiropractor is worth his weight in gold!)

I'll never forget that pain though. I feel for ya!

Find a local Vitamin Shoppe and ask them about Bromelain for swelling and Glucosamine Chondroitin for your joints. The older I get, the more I believe in the benefits of the supplements I've been taking. Running, biking, full squats, and dead-lifting regularly and I don't have any knee problems. There's got to be something to this stuff!

    Wow. I just got REALLY off-topic. :p

Yeah, i agree with the shaving of the head. If i can prevent going bald with an easy fix then great, if not, i'm just gonna keep it real damn short. If you're gonna go bald you should do it with grace. Just accept it and look as good as possible.

I'm pretty familiar with the supplements you take for joints and all that jazz. I worked at GNC for a year and people would swear by their supplements. The only problem is that i have a really hard time remembering to take pills when i need to.

Part of my knee problem is a disease that i'm, not quite sure how to spell... Osgood Slatters Disease, or something like that. It's where the bone grows faster than the cartilage or the cartilage grows faster than the bone, i can't remember. Its something that develops during puberty. Anyway, one of my knees is messed up because of that. I think i need to stop running and take up swimming or something with less impact. Oh well, maybe i'll just get one of those old people scooters and just roll around everywhere. That actually sounds kinda nice....
