I first time I moved out I was 19 and moved to South Florida with some friends. That lasted about 5 months, then I moved back in with my parents. I bought my first house when I was 21 and rented it out and stayed with my parents. I bought a second home at 24 and finally moved out and haven't been back since.

    of course
I replied 20,which is when I moved out of my parents house because that is what I am assuming you meant. However, wherever I have lived is my HOME, so I would say I never left home.

Good question! A buddy of mine had moved out of his place a month or two after his HS graduation and was having some money trouble...you know how that goes-college and working at the same time. Well anyhow, I thought I'd help out by spliting the rent with him. It actually helped us both out, I was closer to school and my job and so was my buddy:). As far as a 15 year old being out on his own, well, nobody really gave a hoot haha:D!

    17. Was facing a nice visit to Vietnam about six months later. Travel arrangements (orders) changed at nearly the last moment (war was winding down). Went to Germany instead.

back in my teens decent jobs were fairly easy to find as long as you were willing to work hard. Inflation wasn't so bad either.

    16.

Crashed with a buddy that was 19 and in the Reserves.

    Never really looked back.

I did live in my dads' basement twice after that for brief periods...once for a month while my apartment was remodeled, and one time when I was like 20 for two months during the summer between semesters of school.

Otherwise, on my own ever since.

Moved out at 24 and bought myself a condo.

Had intended to move out earlier but my father had a couple bouts with cancer and needed my help around the house.
