I just looked at a beautiful 96 tacoma 3.4 no body rust but frame has a little rust at rear driver shackle. Extra cab 5 speed. Garage kept. 103000 miles. How concerning g is the frame rust issues with these trucks. Price is 7800

Where has the truck lived and where are you going to be keeping/driving it? Rust has been a huge issue with these trucks in my neighborhood (New England) but no issue at all in states that don't use road salt in the winter.
Sounds like a great rig at a decent price.

7800 is steep, but 108xxx is super low. Ask if hes done the timing belt and water pump that should have been done at 90k. If not you should be able to knock off a few bucks with that. as far as the rust goes, if its not that bad clean it up real good and paint it so it doesnt spread.

That would be under priced out here in California. But we dont have to worry about the rust issue

7800 isn't to over priced for fl. I would say if he could get the truck for 6500 it would be a pretty solid deal.

6500 would be a steal for sure! 7800 is really good too! That truck would be 9900 on dealer lot around here. Maybe 8500 person to person. Get it! Hard to come by these days.
