how the F do i do this

I know yes I have read many threads n ways of doing it but how the hell do I get the fog lights out to tint them w krylon...I've tried numerous damn times to get em out n it seems so simple a retard monkey can do it (except the one posting this thread lol) but I have taken my headlights off along w the grille to c better n still can't figure it out...I've pushed both circular black tabs on each side of the fog n pushed through from the back n still Nothin I can't get it and I've tried at least 3 times today w no luck. Something or another just isn't clicking to me.

 

Am I missing something else. I don't want to break anything so that the lights wont go back into the hole. Just wanna get em out to spray em yellow....my last resort is to stay em while they r on the truck but dk if that'll be the best way to do as I wont be able to cover thevwhole light cover w thecpaint
