When it comes to lift, what's the limit? Some like it the way it is, some want 2", some want 3", and some crazy bastards want 6"... and yes, nb4 "that's what she said"

As for sliders, there's no structural benefit between weld vs bolt-on (with proper design) as far as I know. I believe bolt-on are generally considered better, as it's reversible and doesn't perforate your frame. I have bolt-on BAMF sliders and they are the shit. @Mobtown Offroad can speak further to this.

My laughing was more to the idea of Toyota putting on sliders. Neva gonna get it, neva gonna, neva gonna...

Toyota’s attempt at a “slider” is their overpriced, weak Predator steps. You don’t want Toyota making a legitimate slider. They’ll charge 4-5 more than what you’ll pay from an armor vendor. Only reason Toyota would offer something is to make insane profit on it. For example, the snorkel. I bet that injection molded piece cost them $15 to make and attach to the truck... same with the Predator steps. Probably $30 in their cost and then they mark them up like crazy.

I'm curious about the zr2 sliders and how tough they really are.

They are not. IIRC when I looked at them at SEMA, they bolt on just like the Predator steps and are made from similar materials of construction.

i get what you're saying. some people don't need or want any lift, i am one of those people. the stock height Pro would be sufficient for me. but nicer, more aggressive tires should be a no brainer. even just a decent A/T tire from the factory would be better than what comes on it.

i agree Toyota sliders would be hella expensive. but then again, so are their Predator bars and those don't even come standard. i was only saying that for the upcharge for all the Pro things that truck should get some standard items more so than what it has now.

The TRD Pro should come with added horsepower. It would be nice to have the option to add a boosted V6 or even better a small V8. I get that the baseline Tacos are made & marketed for efficiency but the high end models need more balls IMO, especially since they market it as the ultimate offroad vehicle.

All these wants for a Taco TRD Pro would hike the price of the model to 50K.. Number one complaint of the TRD pro on TW is the price. The irony....

Yup, and Toyota should become a non profit organization and donate trucks to everyone on TW because of hurt feelings.

i think it looks great man. beautiful truck nice job. if i had a pro i would do the same thing. no sense buying a pro to rip the suspension out of it then you may as well just got an offroad.
