    If you paint over the reflectors and rectangular lights beside the headlight, how much light will the day time running lights still give off?

    I just completed my BHLM and it turned out great. I know I was supposed to leave the chrome around the headlight for reflection but should I have painted the chrome around the parking lights? I left it chrome too.

    Has anyone done a black/smoked chrome kind of color on the bezel? Similar to how the 2010-2011 TRD (maybe all??) lights were from the factory, but a bit darker. Looking to do something a little different from the solid black. I picked up a can of duplicolor metalcast smoke, but it's not really the look I was going for.

    1036... Both lights are disassembled reasy for paint. I cooked the lights separately as my oven was barely big enough for one. After cooking the first one at 300 for 10 min I had to recook it at 325 for about 5 min to really be succesful in separating the two pieces. So the second one I cooked at 325 for 15 min.

    Next step....prep for paint.

    Its now 1.26 pm. Just finished the cooking of the painted bezels. While I was waiting for the paint to dry on the bezels precooking I was scraping out the old sealant from the two gray pieces and off the clear lenses. Going to let everything cool down to room temp before attempting reassembly.....

    So far the hardest part of this whole process is getting the two halves separated.... And masking off the bits I dont want painted! I hate paint prep.

    It's really not that bad. I am no mechanic by any means and I've done it on two Tacos with success. Just take your time. Did a much better job the second time around though ;)
