I like the grey! it looks like the oem smoked ones. i didn't want to go completely black, tried the black chrome paint bit since it was translucent I had a hell of s time getting even coverage so i ended up doing so many coats it ended up black.

How does the window weld tie into this? Also how long is sufficient for drying time

Window weld is used reseal the lights. I let mine dry/cure for 24 hrs, put em back together too soon & the off gas will fog the lenses. If I remember right Krylon Fusion says 24 hrs to be fully cured.

I have a question for everyone or if anyone knows the answer. How long Should I wait for the krylon paint to dry before and after curing the bezel in the oven???? So after using 4-5 coats of krylon how long should I wait before curing it in oven, And how long should I wait after the krylon is cured to go ahead and start putting the windo-weld on and reattaching the headlight halfs together. (throwing it back in the oven to heat up windo-weld.)

    Yes
I only put a few coats on mine. Waited an hour or so then put them in the oven to gas out. Let them cool and then lay the window weld on and back in to soften. Then join the halves and back in. I then used clamps to squeeze the two together.

Ok so after pre-burning you didn't wait to long to go ahead and do the windo-weld to re-attach? How long ago did you do yours and how is it holding up or the quality would you say?

Didn't wait long after gassing out. After it comes out of the oven and cools it should be good to go. I did mine a while ago and still holding up great.

It's the darker silver. I can't remember the code. I believe it's for 14 and up.

lots of mods and more coming
Not bad but the bumper added some time and extra steps in removing the headlights. Also, careful handling the lenses after cleaning out the goo

And those cosmetic pieces under the headlight... What a dumb, DUMB idea!! Always a pain in the ass and stressful to remove, undamaged.

I plan to do this BUT, my lens covers are super grimmy from some moisture...

Any advice on how to get the lenses back to crystal clear? Or as close as I can..

I'm assuming I'll need to treat the lens cover on he inside and outside once the assembly has been taken apart..

    Please advise!
