I wasn't looking for a performance radiator so I just bought a stock replacement. I went with a Denso & have been happy with it. I forget where I got it but was either Amazon or Rock auto.

I planned on purchasing from Rock auto since they have a wide variety and they’re all priced about the same just wanted to know if some are better than others. I do see Denso on there though

I wouldn't know where to get it, but for guys who might know you are looking for radiator for 95.5, 2.7 with AT (that is 4x4 as there were no Prerunner that year - the best year for Tacoma ).

I also see some say 4wd and some do not. I assume since mine is a 4wd I would need one that’s labled 4wd correct?

    4WD radiators are taller.

Don't forget to grab the coupon here in the Rock Auto section. It's only 5% but better than nothing.

I run engine with cap off till I see fluid flowing. Toyota red is some good coolant to use for the price I find it worth it over the years

I don't know if Toyota red or the pink is any better but I only use the red cause it's red & that's what the truck came with. My previous cars all just used green & I thought the red just looks cool.

Raise vehicle from rear with Jack stands high enough that radiator cap is lower that t stat . Fill radiator until it overflows then start engine and run for 10 min

This will pull all the air out quickly and easily!!!!

Out of all the coolant fluids over the decades I find Red to be thicker and oily so to say.

Never mix a glycol based coolant with Dexcool based coolant . This will create sludge in the coolant passages

So should I just refill what I already had in it before I drained it? I’ve been using the same 50/50 pre mixed coolant since I purchased the truck.

Yes make sure u run system with clean water first. Make sure you heater is on high. And I recommend using bottled distilled water for when you are ready for coolant

Toyota "Red - long life coolant " is the same as GM's Dexcool coolant . Adding any other coolant to the cooling system will effectively plug the cooling system. Also if still under warranty this will void said warranty!!

I would flush the system with water first. Read instructions on new radiator they my call for you to fush first. My have anti corrosion oils in it upon arrival
