I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
my brother is a cop in huntsville. i'll ask him if you want. FWIW, If i'm going out to shoot whether it be hunting or the range, i just throw them in the bed of the truck.

Edit: I'm pretty sure as long as it's outta reach you'll be fine no matter what. Usually When i hit the range there are about 10-12 guns in my bed. and presidential masks......wait what?

Fair enough, I just don't want anything getting scratched or something in the bed. And I really don't want to put them in the bed if I don't have my tonneau on, since I don't want them being stolen if I run errands on the way home or something.

And thanks - AL seems pretty good so far.

Yeah, it's pretty awesome, hah. Honestly though, I have some pretty cool neighbors (they even drive tacomas ;) )who are approx my age, and I started going out with them and meeting other people. Singles exist here, just not as many as other towns.
I haven't been shooting here yet. (I actually just brought down my 28 gauge from St Louis last weekend, and I need to get my hands on a 12, I had been shooting my dad's 870 that he was going to give me, but decided not to. Thumbs down on that, heh.)
I heard that swan creek doesn't have launchers for trap or skeet though, so I was going to check out Big Skye Skeet & Trap and see how they were.

Yeah, I mean if you have a launcher or want to throw them, I don't think there's much of a line, which is nice.

870s can be had pretty cheap. A somewhat better pump IMHO is the Binelli Super Nova, a little bit more $ but still fairly reasonable.

My dad just got a really beautiful, well-kept 50 year old winchester and another new semi-automatic turkey gun, which was why he was going to part with the 870. Both of the new guns are significantly more $ too, but he decided he likes the 870 as a spare gun for a friend to shoot with or to take on trips where it might get a bit dirty or messed up. I'll keep the binelli in mind.

I live in CA. You dont need a case even. You can have the shotgun sitting on your lap on the way to the range if you like, as long as its unloaded. You can also have an unloaded handgun as long as it is in a locked container.

Wouldn't recommend that method unless you like getting stopped by LEO's with guns drawn.;)

Are you serious? I thought Canadian gun laws were strict. Handgun owners apply for a permit to move the firearm from point A to B on a particular date. No police escorts are required.

Do the gang bangers in Los Angeles apply for permission to move their guns? Ridiculous...
