I’m so new to this forum. How do I do that. What do you suggest. I want people to be able to know what crank position sensor dying means lol.

I changed it. I think. Crank position sensor melt down : truck just dying. Maybe then a search engine can find it easier with those key words?

I just got codes for the blown cats.. That is it. P420 and P430. I suspect that the CKP caused some miss fires that threw gas into the cats. Both were killed. Still need to get one replaced..

Anyone know if a faulty CPS would be causing abnormally horrible gas mileage?

Unknown lift, maybe 2" I don't know how to ID it, and would rather set it back to stock.
Not likely. It is more prone to cause stalling. What symptoms are you having, other than just poor gas mileage? What is the MPG you're experiencing, and has it been this way from the start, or abruptly happened? What sort of driving do you primarily do, city stop and go, or highway. How many miles are on your truck, is it auto or manual transmission, and what modifications have you done?

Do you have the latest transmission TSB update? My mileage was pretty horrible the first few months until I had the "Shift Feeling Enhancements" TSB done and then it balanced out to about 18 combined with 60/40 city/highway

Hey Tacolady00.... My 17 sport got towed to dealership for the second time in 3000 miles for stalling, restart and have to feather the gas pedal to get it off the road. First time in they ended up replacing 6 fuel injectors and corresponding gaskets. This time, after it got there, it’s running fine. Mine doesn’t fall in with the CPS recall, but after reading this entire thread I’m going to try my damnest to get them to replace it while it’s there. Thanks!

If they won't replace it, just buy it yourself... it's only $100 and if you have a '17 they will likely stand by the call that your truck isn't part of the recall. Mine didn't, but no question mine was affected.
