Thanks for the input man! Work isnt the issue as ill be doing it myself, although id rather not replace it every 1.5 years lol. Hows the replacement been holding up? Did the old one just start leaking again?

The old one was spewing fluid where the hoses go into it for the PS pump. I made sure to use the new supplied o rings so that wasn’t the issue. No clue what happened but I mailed it back, they inspected it and said it shouldn’t have done that. Overall a painless process. Replacement has been holding up just fine.

Well fuck, now I wanna do it. Maybe once it warms up. Working in the driveway in 30 degree weather isn't the best.

Yeah, cold wrenching sucks a bit. I'm in the process of insulating my garage. Just added 12 new LEDs strips so its bright as hell now.

That escalated quickly:rofl: I was going to ask why then saw the reply above. I’ve got em, so I’m going to put them in but I’ll see if I can’t get my hands on a torch before hand for the more forward approach lmao

OEM bushings are rubber, not poly. You get new rubber bushings with the new rack. Myself like many other have got close to 200k miles out of the OEM rack and bushings. So why bother and spend the money and effort to replace them?

I understand what you’re saying. I’m considering it because my current rack at 96k miles has about 1/8th inch of movement from those bushings

Ahh, I see. Yeah if you're not replacing the rack I get it. Toyota doesn't even sell replacement bushings. Poly will definitely transmit more vibrations into your steering wheel/hands than OEM rubber though

Gotta bust out that oxy/acetylene torch and burn that bushing into dust lol I bet that'd do the trick
