You mean that someone heard a failed-inspection-junkyard-death-rattle and said "yeah, that sounds badass, I want to make my truck sound like that"?

Welcome to TW, OP. My guess is to try cutting a three inch slot in the exhaust just above the muffler. That will give it an authentic clap.

i thought this was a friday thread but then i realized it's still monday.

found this on the webernets: Clapped-Out - adjective. informal British. (of a vehicle, machine, or person) worn out from age or heavy use and unable to work or operate. 'a clapped-out old van' 'These same emissions zones will also catch clapped-out old bangers and poorly-maintained lorries and vans.

OP, since you live nowhere near me, just flip your headers and run them right through the hood.

How much do we want to bet this is the same guy who has a 4:1 MA System & ATV winch on his truck..?

But if this is actually a serious post then just cut the friggin muffler off. Maybe a CAI too.. (BTW Andrew "clapped out" is a pretty common term across the rest of the US that means a rusted out POS that might just run if youre lucky)

Sounds like trash when it's done "correctly". Sounds like trash when not done correctly.

Why do you want your Tacoma to sound like an overloaded, speeding Peterbilt coming in hot to a tiny town in Nevada engaging their jake brake to go from 75 to 25?
