BTW we have the lowest online price for Invisible Glass at $5.95, at least based on the searching I did.

Has anyone ever used "000 steel wool" and a dry towel as long as windows don't have after amrket tint. I used to install windows and sliders and that worked the best for us

Wow; that product has quite a following and it's reasonably-priced too. Less than $4 for 19 ounces online.

Unfortunately, it only comes in an aerosol which really limits how we can ship it. We do a lot of flat-rate Priority Mail shipping with USPS because what we ship is so heavy and aerosols can't go Air.

hmm..not that I've noticed. Only the second time I've put rain-x on though. Some people use that rain-x windshield washer fluid.. that would be bad news if it does.

Newspaper didn't help this issue for me. I have the same problem in my 4runnet and corvette. Invisible glass isn't helping either.

    Head unit. That's it.
I always use a 6" orbital buffer to remove rain x . Seems to work well.

    This is a big deal.

Most people are not aware, and the tint shops don't tell you, that ammonia, and window cleaners containing ammonia, such as Windex, will deteriorate your tint film.

    My personal experience:

I never liked Rain-X. I understand the beading and rolling away factor, but you can get nearly the same effect with a good car wash soap.

In my experience Rain-X creates a slight haze when the wipers are on full speed. And obviously if the wipers are on at full speed, vision is paramount because it's probably raining or snowing pretty hard.

Oh, and Stoners Invisible Glass is all I ever use now, inside and out. Comes out looking... well, invisible

I've always liked the Stoner line, the foaming aerosol seems to work best in my experience but its getting harder to find. I used to get it at Walmart all the time but now it seems really hit or miss.

I think in many cases this (ammonia) is what causes window tint to go purple.

I guess I assume people are not purposely putting purple tint in their cars...

Combination of poor quality tint and cleaners.

My wife ended up with purple windows on her old Tracer and I don't think she cleaned them more than a couple of times the 7 years she had that car.

I've used it for about 4 years putting it on my vehicles and it hasn't hurt the wipers yet. I have Rain-X L attitude wipers that I pulled off of my S10 and put on the Tacoma when I sold it, the S10, and it's been about 3 years with them and they still work like new.

I'm glad that shit works for somebody. I just spent 20 minutes trying to wipe the haze off the inside of my windshield after "cleaning" it with that stuff. I've tried microfiber, paper towels, diapers, cotton towels, and all I've been able to do is to move the greasy haze that it left from one area of the windshield to another. I gave up. Maybe I'm not doing it right... prolly not..

Somehow I just can't get used to the idea of using newspaper to clean windows. After reading just a couple pages of my newspaper I have to wash the ink off my hands...

Vinegar and water work great for the outside surfaces, at least for me they do. But who carries vinegar and water on off-road trips????

Forget the blue/purple/pink Windex - they are the absolute worst for leaving a nice, reflective residue on glass - really helpful when driving into a low sun...
