Yes, it is mostly comical. Sometimes it really goes sideways.

    I know right?

OP, if your load is so big that you are needing to wedge it in the corner between the tailgate and the bedside why not drive with your tailgate down so the load can sit flat and strap it in real good with some ratchet straps? I do this all the time for longer/larger loads. Also this way it doesn't put unneeded stress on your tailgate latching system.

I have this issue everytime I load the bodies. I need a good way to prevent them from rolling out and still closing the gate. I am subbed for a solid bit of information.

Edit... I meant flowers... not bodies!

Run a length of duct tape that you can pull with one hand while you hold whatever with the other.

    Your welcome.

I had a similar issue... I needed to find a way to shut my driver side door once I entered the truck. I found it best to roll the window down once inside, then lean out the window and shut the door from the outside. Hope this helps!

Or. Step back out and tell that tailgate if it knew what was best for it, that it would mind it’s own business.

Thank you, where would I attach the 550 cord to exactly? I don't see any appropriate attachment point.
