Does this work for the 2012 Entune Navi version?

I know on the 2014 4runner there is an entry on the Toyota.com owners section for the online manual under "other settings" that show how to change the startup image.

I did look under the 2013 and there is no mention of this, but under the 2014 model there is a pdf that shows "other settings" and shows instructions on changing the startup image for the 2014 Tacoma.

    Just to reiterate.

FOR 2013/2012 TOUCHSCREEN OWNERS. THE BASIC TOUCHSCREEN DOES NOT ALLOW THE CHANGE OF THE STARTUP IMAGE. FOR 2013 ENTUNE TOUCHSCREEN I HAVE NOT CONFIRMED BUT HAVE A 100% SURE ASSUMPTION IT IS NOT POSSIBLE AS WELL.

As in no one ever posted on any thread or my "background change possible?" thread on being capable of doing so for a 2012/2013 model.

I have tried multiple procedures, pic files on USB in multiple formats saved to the similar folder names and even outside of a folder to no avail on the 2013 HU. Even the diagnostic hidden menu shows nothing.

The two folder names are case sensitive and have to be exactly as shown here. When I first tried this, I missed capitalizing one letter and it didn't work. It must be "StartupImage” and “DisplayOffImage”.

I have been testing this for an hour with my 7" '14 entune and the proper ration seems to be 1:0.53. This made it so I didn't have any black space around the edges. I could never get regular wallpaper sizes to work.

I have tried for 30 minutes and mine will not see the files. Very aggregating.

I think your Image 3 is the best choice.

I also have looked at this, just need to decide what image I want.

Update: I did this, worked great, no problems.
I had an thumb drive laying around and set it up with the two folders.
I found some nice TRD images on the internet.

Yeah, because the image shows up for just a moment I thought it would be cool to use some sort of scary image or maybe a subliminal image.

When uploading/transferring, why does it say are you sure you want to overwrite? I would like to keep the stock logo as well. Will this delete it or only if I upload/transfer more than 3 or something?
    Thanks
