Snorkels biggest intention is to keep dust out of the intake, to get fresh air from up high above the dust clouds that are kicked up by the vehicle infront of you.

Delete kit at this point is going to Home Depot and buying a piece of sheet metal and riveting it over the hole that will be there when you take the snorkel off.

or even the dust clouds that get kicked up by your own truck - the factory intake pulls in air from the wheel well and there's all kinds of dust in there when you're driving on trails. Granted the fender liner does a good job of keeping the bulk of it from getting into the intake, but a lot still gets through.

Then dudes delete the fender liner to fit huge tires and remote resi shocks.

I think Toyota actually did their homework on their DAI. Also, it does not obscure vision (which isn’t great in a Taco to begin with), and doesn’t require drilling of the highly engineered HSS A-pillar.

If your only goal is function, and you don’t care about fashion, the TRD intake is superior to other options in my estimation.

Even after I installed my snorkel I kept my fender liners off because I figured they weren't needed anymore. Big mistake, at least in my opinion...so much dirt and mud and crap gets into your door jambs with them off, and a lot more gets into the engine bay too. I underestimated how important those flimsy pieces of plastic are.

Dump pipe would fill that hole nicely.

Same, after I installed fiberglass on the ‘01, I realized the new fenders actually aid in scooping the debris INTO my door sills. It’s almost as if...as if...Toyota MEANT to have that plastic there. Mo money mo problemz.

I’m going to my dealer right now. If they won’t sell me the kit, I’m buying a Pro. Dingus envy is overwhelming me.

Some folks don't have that problem. Others are looking for their dongle though.

Man, we barely had the talk. It was just about: here's some rubbers, go figure it out. But, without the rubbers.

My parent's version of 'the talk' was giving me a book when I was 12 called "What's Happening To My Body? For Boys". It was...enlightening I guess
