Just enough to look kinda cool.
Don't mind the dumb question, but why can't you take a snorkel through the car wash?

Brushes could get caught on it and damage it or the truck if they pull it off.

That's a non issue, I've driven through torrential rain with mine on the highway and very little water gets to the air filter, any that does gets caught in and dried out in the filter quickly.

Snorkels are designed with drain holes around the base of the head and most water that comes into them gets pushed out through there.

I'd worry about cutting someone off then parking. They could dump their big gulp in it just to be a jerk.

Life is full of crazy what ifs, and human behavior doesn't shock me anymore. But I would say there is a slim chance of that happening.

They warned me I have to rotate the head of the Snorkel backwards when it's snowing... I'm wondering why snow would be any different than rain...

Because it expands. That’s why birds won’t eat it

meh, if you have enemies or people like that in your neighborhood then snorkel or not, they're going to fuck with your truck...so many just as easy ways to do it - sugar/big gulp in the gas tank, potato in the tail pipe, unscrew your oil filter, loosen your lug nuts, etc.
