I dunno...I'd like to see if TRD actually officially recommends that or not. ARB does not recommend turning the head around (even though a lot of people do it), especially at speeds over 40mph because you lose the air ram effect of air going into the snorkel.

The only time I turn mine around is if I'm on a trail and going through mud. If mud goes into the snorkel head it makes it's way to the filter and messes the filter up in no time.

So... as much fun as this thread is... Does anyone actually have a real answer for the question?

If I remove the snorkel, there's obviously a hole in the fender - is there an aftermarket part that I can use to cover that up?
or is replacing the fender really the only way to do it?

True story: A gas station attendant ran out while I was filling up one time and asked, "What is that? Is that the exhaust?" I said, "Yep! Have a good day!"

I gave you one, find someone to trade. Someone out there wants it.
You could remove it and make a block off plate out of delrin. You would need to buy the non snorkel air box and whatever else is needed, there is a stock air box in the for sale section here.

You’ll have to get a new fender.

Seriously, I would just find someone with your same color truck that wants a snorkel and trade them everything. Costs $0 everyone wins.

Put a trade thread in the 3rd Gen Marketplace when you get 50 posts.

Look at it this way. Most folks who install a snorkel are not ever going to take it off. Same with the Pros, who are a very small fraction of Taco sales. You are in a 1%'er group of folks who want to delete the dorkel. So, your best bet is to contact the dealer and have them possibly contact corporate to see if a kit really exists. Otherwise, you're just going to have to do the parts swap, which will not be easy partly because of the clips and taped on flares and also finding a Taco owner with a pristine black Taco that actually wants it. That doesn't even get into the problem of who will be paying who for that.

Also, note that is just isn't a hole in your fender because just covering it up means that your are blocking your intake. You'll have to R&R pieces under the fender as well.
