There is no kit. If there was, it would just be a piece of fender to weld in, and would need to be painted.

While I wouldn't have purchased a Tacoma with that intake on there in the first place, if I somehow ended up with one, I'd leave it personally. At least it's functional. Interesting how much love the fake scoop gets on here and how much hate the functional air intake gets.

I still don't know how that would end up looking good...even if you cleaned it up well and painted over it you'd still probably be able to make out where the hole was and where the patch is. New fender is probably expensive (dunno if there are aftermarket options yet for the 3rd gens like 1st gens have) but is the only way to go IMO. When I smashed my drivers side fender on a trail, Toyota wanted $400 for an unpainted OEM one...was able to get an aftermarket one for $60.

$400 ain't anything. The prep and paint is the money.

Edit: double negatives. I spend too much time around Spanish women.

Seriously though, couldn't you get one of our fabulous modders to create a replacement part, to swap out the area that immediately pops out of the fender, to at least relocate it to a less obvious and less whale penis on my windshield type location? It would be temporary until you get your plan in order? Maybe?

I suspect the 3rd gen ones are probably considerably more...painting my aftermarket one was the easy part actually. Found a rattle can of the paint I needed and clear coat for ~ $50. Color is spot on but I fubar'ed the clear coat...gonna have to redo that one day.
