How can i determine which transmission type my truck has? The Toyota manual offers the following options for a 2007 Tacoma:
    • R155 MANUAL TRANSMISSION
    • R155F MANUAL TRANSMISSION
    • RA60 MANUAL TRANSMISSION
    • RA60F MANUAL TRANSMISSION

R155's are the 5speed's in the 4 bangers.

    RA60's are in the v6's

and i want to say the F denotes the 4x4 version of the trans.

I think i have that right.

It's also in the door jam on the sticker denoting the GAWR/GVWR, on the bottom edge below the barcode. You should see "A/TM" and then the next set of numbers/letters should tell you what it is. Mine had "RA60," but no "F" to denote the fact that it's a 4wd.

From the title of the thread I thought this was a Caitlyn Jenner thread. Very disappointed.

According to the R155 wiki, ratios are the same for R155 and R155F. Probably why Toyota didn't designate the R155F on build stickers.

    • Fifth Gear: 0.81:1
