    Thanks, pic helps.
Drove it all day yesterday………no less noise in turns…..
Jacked it up, did 12/6 wiggle test……no movement…….and spun pretty free BUT a little rubbing sound from Rotor….

been reading all the complaints of road noise and bad wear from Toyo Open Country A30,, OEM on Tacoma Sport and what I have…….

what do you recommend for jack point

Lower control arm if you're careful.. or frame rail if not sure

Forget about the wiggle test. If the bearing was loose enough to wiggle it would be howling like a motherfkr

Don't worry about rotor rubbing.. it's more of a "feel" through your hand that's holding the knuckle. Comparing side to side really helps

I use the front center one. It gets both sides off the ground at once.
And obviously, you should use jack stand.

The front is easy from the pregnant spot. The rear on the differential pumpkin, I lift the jack until it’s barely not touching, shake to slide the jack against the drain plug protector, then a tiny shake so it isn’t touching the protector. Once up on jack stands I give it the shake test. Push and pull on the body simulating any force you might put on the chassis during your repair. So if it’s gonna fall, it’ll fall without you under it. If I can get away with blocks under the wheels instead of jack stands under the chassis, I’ll do that. Gravity is unspent energy that can kill you.

    Yes, I do that too.
Mostly because a lot of my tools re in my tool box.
And I’m jumping in and out of the bed to get them while working on my truck.

I’m a bum, I “borrow” my family members paved driveways. Working in the gravel driveway is not fun anymore. So, I usually loaded up my stuff and take it with me. I have to give Kobal truck bed tool boxes credit. Mines been a rolling tool box for 13+ years. Still going strong.

Well TnShooter, good news for me…….good bearings on both sides, no noise, no vibes……so back to my tire noise I guess…..
Will start searching the Offroad/Lift truck places for Takeoffs…..see if I get lucky.
    Thanks for all your help

Well TnShooter, after driving myself crazy with tire noise, decided to get a third opinion, and took my Tacoma to a Toyota dealership, where I’ve made a friend with a service writer.
The shop did the diagnostics, and discovered left front bearing, started early……

took it to a independent shop, replaced both sides, and while we’re at it both new hubs, for $1000…..now good for another 200K

as luck would have it, lost a TPM on way home……just money.
