How to disable DRLs (Daytime Running Lights) on 2004 Tacoma?

    With the 2015 you can turn them off or leave them on, but i really dont understand why people dont want them i think they look pretty cool.

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    that's weird???? why have a fuse for it then if the fuse doesn't give power to it???????????

    well at least now I know that Toyota tech was wrong about the fuse

    my limited understanding of how they work on first gens is, they use a resistor to drop the voltage and send something like 7 volts to the low beams to illuminate them without shining a strong intense beam instead of the normal 12v and that's the way they create daytime driving lights. but this was told to me from that same tech that said pulling the 7 amp fuse would disable it :notsure:

    as for having them, I kinda like it and more safety is never a bad thing in my book

    5100's. AAl, Helwig rsb, 285/70-17's on Fj wheels (now Bronze chrome powder coated), URD SS 322k and counting...
    I tried the same thing... fuse out they still work?
