Question what’s the opening dimensions of the fixed floor? I’m trying to gauge what size opening to leave for my movable platform. I had 1ft previously but I think it’s a bit too narrow.

Do you mean the dimension of the hole to get inside the tent? I drew my own panels and I made mine 20" x 49"

Does anyone know if the 80/20 extrusion 3" has the same track separations as the GFC? Curious in buying some GFC brackets to use.

Do you mean the T-slot sizes? From what I understand, GFC’s t-slots are not standard.

Yeah I was wondering if I could use their awning mount and put it on the 8020 extrusions. I can't find any other awning mounts that will work currently without fabricating.

Having issues on the side and rear panels. I used similar hinges to ripcords idea and they work. My problem is that when the side tubes connect to the upper and lower frame, it creates an unwanted angel. With that angle there is now a huge gap at the top, between the panel and spaceframe. Sure I can put more weather stripping, but for security, it's not an option. Either I have to find another way, or just do without and sell what iver got into it so far. This was the easy part....along with waiting on the sewing of tent. Literally all that's left. Sad sad day. Just getting so frustrated. Seems like I get so close and then a slap in the face.
I don't think it was mentioned in the beginning of the thread whether or not it was an issue for anyone.

I feel as though I did something wrong with the space frame. But I measured and cut to spec and measured 5 or 6 times before and after cuts and welds. There's just an overlap. I can compensate with more gasket, but anyone could break into this. And I can't mount flush because I don't want to drill holes and just use rivets

At this point it's either figure a way out, weld tabs etc, or find a way to mount directly. Just worried about water intrusion with so many rivets into the spaceframe
I'm wondering if I mount the panels to the inside of the hinge if it will make a difference, but then I will run into binding there as well I'm sure

Some people have stepped up to the next size gasket for that same reason

I feel like it doesn’t matter which bed cap or tonneau cover you have if someone wants to get in they can. Unless you have something like a diamond back

I ended up adding some extra gasket in the corners and it seems to seal, but not as uniform. Basically it starts to push out on the panel corners, vs actually sealing

Someone posted the link to the taller seal a few pages or so ago. You might try that, even if it's just 10'.

There's 3/4" and then 1" heights. You may even try using some of the double bulb seal on one side to mate with a single bulb seal on the other when the door is closed.

Otherwise, maybe make a small filler ramp for that area and weld it in, and grind it smooth.

Your panel really seems to be bowing out in those corners though, you might swap to a piano hinge to bring it in at the corners

Exactly, when someone wants to break in they can, no matter how flush the panels are.
I have the same “issue” and just put a seal on the panel and one on the frame amd this keeps the water out…so for me all is good.
When you want to have it break in safe, then you have to use different stronger/heavier materials and probably also use different locks, which don’t have the same keyway like every other lock.

I had the OEM tonneau cover and even though it was a tight seal I never left anything that I was worried of being stolen. It was just one crowbar away.

Thanks for the info! Will Def rework this and come up with a solution. Was just getting frustrated.

Just ordered 6mm dibond panel for the sides now. Going to use a router for the slight angles, then mount the panel hinges to the 8020. This way there is absolute flush mount
