I will. I know there are a few people working on something similar. One thing that wasn’t obvious to me until I had it down to bare frame and started measuring, is that it is wider at the front than at the back. I don’t think this will work. It needs to be the same width for the whole length. So I’ll have to cut it completely apart and rebuild it. I’m reality, I’m basically building the same frame as everyone else, but reusing the doors from the DCU.

I noticed that on mine too about it being wider in the front. I was thinking of just shimming the side panels to make it work. I'll match the width at the front with the tent frame and then adjust the rear to match. At least this makes sense in my head, I am sure I'll run into issues when I actually attempt this.

Hello all- First time posting after following this thread since January. Since then we've purchased about 80% of the items from Ripcord's V2 build list document and have decided not to finish the build for a number of reasons

I wanted to post some of our orders here if anyone needs anything off the lists before we try to sell em off on eBay & etc.
Not looking to make money off anyone and know we won't be recouping the cost -- hopefully this could save you some lead time on 8020. I live in North Florida if anyone is close enough to pick up the bigger 8020 extrusions.

If you look through the attachments and see anything you need, hit me up with an offer! Hope this helps

    Some of our Amazon purchases:
    Exped

    Latches x2
    80/20 Inc, 3299, 15 Series, Drop-in T-Slot Stud 5/16-18 X 1.5" (5 Pack) x 5

Front range Colorado--where've folks sourced ACM panels? First shop (Speedpro) quoted $238 each for 5x10 and $124 for 4x8

Plasticare in Englewood. Purchased last year in May - was $930ish for (2) 5x10 white, (1) 4x10 black and (1) 4x8 black. No clue what they'd be right now, but they got me a price pretty quickly.

Dang. That seems expensive. I just got quoted $150 for 5’x10’ and $89 for 4’x8’.

Yeah it felt pretty outrageous. I'd called about a month earlier and they were quite a bit cheaper. I remember thinking they'd be about $600-700.

I just called Grimco and they are now saying they only sell wholesale to sign companies even though a couple weeks ago I got quotes and no one mentioned this. So I called Glantz and they sell BeBOND which is similar to MaxMetal. The pricing is similar or cheaper (depending on which version) and they aren't totally lame about selling it to me.

The standard MaxMetal is 3mm thick with 0.15mm aluminum panels The BeBOND ECON version has 0.1mm aluminum panels and the Premium version has 0.2mm panels. Pricing for BeBOND is:

All pricing is 48" x 96" sheets (I plan to only use 4'x8' sheets):

    3mm White ECON: $64.04
    3mm White PREMIUM: $81.19
    3mm Black PREMIUM: $88.60
    6mm White PREMIUM: $140.96

Wow this is funny I literally just signed up with Glantz and got a confirmation email. I am currently checking their pricing.

Yea they seem reasonable and they have a branch local to me. They have some other composite honeycomb options that I may look into for removable floor sections. I need to see if they have samples or If I can view them at the warehouse.

Any of you all find a PWM Dimmer you like for LED lighting? The little thing the installer put in does not work. Feeling like this might be the the category of "best done myself..."

Bingo. Lucky the top frame was only tacked on, but it still was enough to keep me from finishing the frame tonight.

I was gonna say it looked like you could just switch the one cross bar to the rear and be all set. Couldn't tell if that bar ran all the way through or was two pieces.
