When it’s closed/not using it? I’m getting mold now in some spots. I might have some leaks though.

but tons of condensation on the top panel.

No. Only when sleeping in it on cold nights. Sounds like you have some leaking. I had to use a lot of silicone on the corners of the 80/20. I also had to run a bead of silicone around the roof panel.

@jowybyo the carpet stays dry. I tested it with tissue paper after a cold night camping where I would normally get dripping condensation. I don't know the exact science behind it, but typically, condensation happens when warm air hits cold flat surfaces. kinda like how windows get fogged in a car and the headliner stays dry. what ever it is, its working and I'm happy hahah. I do get condensation on the exposed keder rails. ill probably cover those up to.

I know this has been mentioned before but I’m struggling to find it in the 150+ pages of this thread. How did people seal the ends to prevent water from coming down the bolts attaching the extrusion to the frame?

Don't know if it has been confirmed here or not, but GFC is using continuous geared hinge for side panels.

But if I were to redo my build I would probably still try to use the hurricane hinges that are on most commercial toppers.

Yeah, but theirs are custom extrusions that don't use the bearings that a typical geared hinge does. I used geared hinges on mine, and while they're bomber, they're not at all waterproof - there is a bearing about every 4 inches, so lots of little gaps. I got mine sealed well, but it's all reactive, rather than integrated. Also, they're expensive as shit.
