My aluminum sections are 90” long, 93” total when you take the corner brackets into account.

This may seem like a dumb question but how do you guys open your rear hatch with this style latch? Am I missing something haha? My side doors are all together and I’m realizing there’s no way to open it from the inside

If you're inside the camper, don't latch the door behind yourself.

The tent has a zippered door. You can open that and kick them in the face.

Hm okay I’m definitely gunna be going a different route as far as the rear latches then. To me the whole convenience of having the tent accessible from inside is not having to climb up to it from the outside like a rtt

I know somewhere early on in the GFC thread there’s talk of making little pull tabs for the inside of the latches, but GFC eventually switched to a weatherproofed SouthCo latch that this doesn’t work on.

Not sure if it’s possible with the Amazon “southco” style latches, maybe someone with them on hand can chime in

@lightnfast Since first gens don’t have bedside rails, what kind of mounting clamps are you using? Just standard topper clamps?

WOW. This looks amazing. Now I really want to make one of these. I wish I had the skills to do so.

This tent will be the death of me. By far the hardest part so far but getting there. 2 more bug screens and the Keder hem then it’s done. Don’t mind the messy sewing/workout room lol.2B795582-2C52-46FE-A9CA-3DC459090B55.jpg

Not a dumb question. I have 10 of these latches on my rig. I have no idea how to escape. LMMFAO.

On a serious note, I really don't know. Lol. So I'm installing this.

I'm trying to tap the ends of my t slot extrusions but an running into a problem. Because it has an x cut around the hole my tap wants to walk into the x and wedge there. How did you guys keep the tap centered on this?

    Lift and cap so far...
Are you using a straight flute tap? If so, might try a spiral flute
