Also, if anyone is looking to get sheet metal parts cut there's a company called sendcutsend whose prices are super reasonable.
You basically just upload a DXF file of what you need, choose the material and you're all set.
I had 7 of these mounts laser cut and shipped to me for sub $40, material included.
Everyone local to me either thought my job was too small or wanted way more than that.
Ignore the flap disk marks and whatnot, the parts come in a lot cleaner than that.

They also offer bending as well, but I plan on doing that myself.

I'm planning to finish the spaceframe this weekend and getting the doors cut out.
Anyone have any tips or wisdom they want to share about setting the location for the gas strut mounts for the doors?
Planning on just trial and error but wanted to know if someone had some learning they'd like to share or a better way to do it.

I'm curious about those who decided to use a 4 hole corner bracket, how did you deal with awning track interfacing around the bracket?

You talking about the inside bracket? You could either cut the keder rail short or mount it behind the corner bracket.

Pro tip, you’ll want to countersink the holes in your door just the slightest amount if the black rivets don’t sit flush when you put them in. They don’t have enough clamp force to pull flush otherwise. They also break like they should, so I can confirm it was the other rivets that had issues

Yea, realized I need to mill a few things before I can get this squared away so probably won’t be doing the gas struts this weekend but I’ll keep you posted whenever I get around to it

I'll be hopefully mounting my doors this weekend. Got the panel stiffeners on one door. Actually surprised with how stiff the long bed doors turned out, might no need diagonal support. For those long bed folks, you will need 5 of the 8ft Aluminium angle iron at a minimum.

One thing I was wondering was how one might go about keeping water from running down the door and leaking into the bed of the truck if the door is open and it happens to be raining. Wonder if you could fashion a gutter of some sort.

Also, I am thinking you could take something like a bike tube to seal up the knock-off southco latches. Basically, just cut the tube to length and then sandwich it between the latch and door on the outside face and then zip tie it around the arm end on the inside.

Thanks for the offer. I don’t need any help. I used it for more than 10 years. I mostly use CATIA now. It’s far better for large assemblies, complex parts and for surfacing.

I finally managed to do a thing. Not sure if I want to actually make the side and front triangle supports

I brought the top of my side supports closer to the ends, they don't meet, so that I have more open space. It's very easy for my to load and unload from the sides.

I did the same thing, I actually just did a 45 degree angle for simplicity and let that dictate where it went.

How are you guys building the space frame in Fusion? I made paths along a 3d sketch of the frame and the pipe tool did this:
