I have a press break. They would have done the bend for me but I’d have to modify the .dxf file from Ripcord and that was over my head.

They already told me no. I’m waiting on a friend to modify the DXF for me so SCS can do all the things

I should add those to the files on my end also then. Give me a few days and I can send you updated versions if your friend hasn't.

I have them cut already and the bends will be easy. Thanks for keeping in touch with us all. I’m looking forward to getting this all going. These are the first parts I’ve sourced and now it feels real!

Anyone that has built just the roof top tent, roughly how much did that cost?

I have two more hinges, two gas struts, and some weather stripping to mount and the canopy portion will be 100% complete sans the tent fabric. I started 6 weeks ago. Did not think I would be able to get this far that fast.

Canvas is the only thing left on this. Material is in, just have to get my lazy body and get to work lol.

Thanks @Ripcord for the design idea!

Can’t wait to get mine on the truck, keeping it off until canvas is done and installed though

A buddy brought his Roofnest Falcon over so I could check out the rails and see how the design was with no skirt. That black round aluminum at the base of the material is Kedar rail.

Just thought I'd share some of the hardware and design they use. I'm going to incorporate it into my build.

20201122_164156.jpg 20201121_172625.jpg Did a test run this weekend. Works great. Still needs a couple more windows and vents in the fabric but good enough for the trial run.

Its hex 70, really lightweight but still strong and waterproof.
