Yesterday I jacked up the front of my truck as high as I could with a 3 ton jack and a small piece of 4x4 post and was able to drain 4.5 qts of tranny fluid out of my tranny. Initially it sat level and drained about 3.5 qts the book says 2.1 qts for drain and refill but I dont think it is correct. So if you want to get more of the old fluid out just jack up the front just be safe and use jack stands, emergency brake and a chock for the rear wheels.

Measurments are of old fluid are accurate.

I used OEM Toyota TIV fluid and 5 qts went back in order get fluid to cold level on stick during idle (after cycling through all gears).
