How to Find Double Cab Long Beds for sale?

So whats the trick to finding available long beds? I thought I was a pretty savvy internet surfer but via cars.com, autotrader.com and toyota's website I'm having a hard time pairing it down to only long beds. Not to mention lots of my local dealers only post angled exterior shots and none straight-on from the sides.
I'm about to make a rash decision and trade in my new SR5 DCSB on DCLB, preferably a Sport or TRD but perhaps even another SR5.
For those that might ask, my main reasoning is I REALLY want the longer bed and the appearance of the long beds has really grown on me. In addition, I regret not getting the tech package on my SR5 and lastly my SR5 is in the shop for up to 6 weeks for an airbag light issue that Toyota is working on(please see my other posts for background on this).
    Thanks!
    Mark

In my experience, there is no "trick", per se. I visited all the Toyota dealer websites in my area (@ 5 within 20 mile radius) and used their websites to narrow my search based upon their inventory at the time. The dealer I eventually picked didn't even have a DCLB SR5 in White on the lot, but they made shit happen and pulled one from another dealer 25 miles away. 2 days later, I got the exact truck I wanted.

DCLB is nice. Good luck with your search:thumbsup:

Toyotas website sucks for the purpose of finding a vehicle, unless you want just your immediate area.
Cars.com can be helpful but you may need to expand your search distance. Be prepared to travel to get what you want or find a salesman willing to work for your business.
    They are out there.
Are you set on a particular color or two, or will any color do?

I don't mind traveling one bit.
Colors I'm relatively flexible but would prefer cement in Off Road or Sport, any color except white in SR5.

Configure what you want and it shows you entire USA if you don’t care about out of state or else you can filter the distance.

There’s way more DCSBs in my area than DCLBs. I called around and checked various dealer’s websites, then resorted to ordering one because even the dealer couldn’t find one in a 1,000 mile radius. Spec’d out what I wanted, agreed on price, the settled down to wait the 3 months. A couple days later the dealer called me back and said they found the exact truck I wanted scheduled to be delivered from the factory to another dealer. They traded allocations and I saved two months wait time.

By the way, I also traded in my 17 DCSB for a DCLB. So happy I did.

I visited individual dealer websites to look for mine. If they didn't have pictures. I ran the vin through a vin decoder online to make sure it was a DCLB. Once I had confirmed a few I emailed the dealers and told them I wanted to make a deal on that specific VIN and wouldn't deal on anything else. Went back and forth between 3 dealers over email also told them I wouldn't come in until I had the offer in writing. Once it was all I set up I went in inspected the particular truck (verified vin) went over paper work and signed. Spent maybe an hour at the dealer. Don't let them waste your time. Pin them against each other over email. And you'll walk out with a good deal. And the fact that you come in with a vin they won't try to sell you something else. I've done it this way for my last two cars and will continue to do so. It works extremely well.

I did the same thing. Even traded down from premium package to tech package but that was mostly because I didn’t want leather. Totally worth it. More power, better gas mileage, and an extra foot to stretch out at night.

I literally just went to my local dealer and they had a few on the lot, including the one I eventually went home with...

I found a local dealer that had one. Asked if they could find other colors. Within 450 miles my choices where black on the lot. White, orange. I wanted just an SR5 DCLB. Settled on black on the lot. Other then washing every other day. No regrets

How about a Red Off Road, even in Colorado, won´t have to travel out of state.

Thanks for the help and feedback. That one^ in Kansas isn't too far away. Waiting to hear back from my salesman later today. Not sure how helpful he'll be because when I bought my current Silver SR5 he said there is no way they could trade for ANY cement Tacoma anywhere due to the demand for the color.

Not to beat a dead horse, but generally speaking, how much below MSRP can I anticipate getting one? Throw out or set aside exclusivity/availability...what should be my jumping off point? I'm not afraid/ashamed to start super low.
    Thanks!!

I purchased a TRD OR DCLB with the tow package in Feb 2016 for just shy of 35, listed on the lot at 37,500. YMMV, but I think it depends on the availability of what you want in your area. I only have one dealer within ~6 hours of me, but was able to negotiate a good deal because most people in my area want a DCSB for quick trips, or they want a gigantic Dodge that can tow a 30' boat. I'm just interested in hauling bikes and towing a couple ATVs, while also being able to haul lumber. I also think they worked with me more because I did financing through Toyota. Don't be afraid to walk away, remember they're trying to sell it to you, make them work for it. A lot of people take them at their word.

I'd love to sell my truck in Canada, as I hear a TRD OR DCLB is like a unicorn there. Good luck.

I followed the method mentioned here and it worked pretty well for me. I know it doesn't directly address your DCLB question, but after being told by multiple dealers that an SR5 V6 4x4 AC in BBP was a unicorn I followed that method and was driving the exact truck I wanted home in a week.
