Hey guys. Bought the truck used and it had 33” tires on it. It seems to be rubbing when pulling out of my driveway or anywhere else for that matter, in reverse. Doesn’t rub going forward. Seems to be rubbing on the fender liner towards the front of the vehicle. I tried to take a heat gun to the liner and bend it in a bit and that seemed to work for a while but I think my new suspension is settling in so it’s doing it again.

Is there any recommended way to get rid of this or is the way of a heat gun or hacking it up the preferred solution?

    Thanks in advance!

I would cut off whatever it’s rubbing on. Lots of threads around on it.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I didn’t want to cut and hack it up at first but if that’s the best way to do it then it’s game on.

It won’t affect the overall functionality or purpose of the fender liner will it? That was my biggest concern.

Yeah, going to have to cut. I used a dremel. You can also try to zip tie the fender liner further forward

It depends what part/how much you cut. If you only cut off a small amount it won’t be floppy.

    33's? Or 285's?

33's you are DEFINITELY going to need a cab mount chop, 285's if the run small and you got upper control arms with forward caster adjustment you *MIGHT* be able to get away with a little trimming of the splash guard in the front but it's probably going to rub *ON EVERYTHING* if you ever off-road.

Thanks for this. I don’t plan on off reading with this truck since it’s my daily driver. Seems like I’ll just have to trim the fender liners sine it only rubs when turning in reverse, but not always. I just want to get rid of the noise on my daily drives / trips.
