I'm trying to troubleshoot tire rub, and I'd like to see where my tire is going along its travel. I thought about driving the tire onto my low profile jack and then I can jack it up. This seems a little unsafe since the front wheel could spin off of the jack. Any better ideas?

Are you trying to test the front? Pull out your coilover and use the jack underneath to raise the tire. Just have the front of the truck on jackstands so both tires are in the air. That's the best way to see where you rub at full stuff through the turning motion.

    How much lift?
    Alignment specs?

It only rubs when hitting bumps while turned. I already have a CMC so I assume it is hitting the pinch weld in the rear of the fender well.

If you have sliders, use a Hi Lift on either side of the truck to lift it a few pumps and it will compress the suspension on the opposite side.

Do you have aftermarket upper control arms? If you do then up your castor to 3-4* then flatten the pinch weld and you shouldn't rub. I was able to have no rubbing with 285/75/16's.

But like eatsleeptacos said, you can pull the shock out to cycle everything and see exactly where you are hitting.

Yeah I have total chaos UCA's. Sounds like a plan. I was wondering how the hell you guys put even larger tires when I'm still rubbing on 32's.

    I don't have sliders/hi-lift yet but I have some demello's on order!
