How to flip rear wheel bearing retainer?

    Timmy was not the first person to flip the retainer ring. I honestly don't know who did, but even Timmy attributes the trick to someone else in his video.

    I am also not convinced it's universally true, as I ran my original retainers with the updated axle seals for 15+ years before doing my rear wheel bearings. And even when I did mine, after checking where the seals rode on the retainer via sharpie, it would have been fine either way.

    I personally think the OP needs to perform the grease witness test again, with a more controlled amount of grease to get a solid answer, cause that picture is just a mess.
