There's always the 4.7 mod. That'll get that bitch scooting. Probably cost less than the SC too.

V8 swap! May run you a little more than the SC:D, though it will sound a hell of a lot better.

That would be just about the ultimate... then a guy could start the upgrade mods from there if so inclined. Probably wouldnt need to thought.

Adding the smaller pulley will most likely mean you'll be adding a larger fuel pump.

This also depends on altitude. As I understand it, fuel upgrades are required when pushing much beyond 6psi. With a stock pulley at ~7K feet, I'm lucky to get 3psi. A 2.85" pulley provides an additional 1.5-2psi of boost, putting me at only ~5psi, which requires no fuel upgrade (unless I plan to drive hard below ~4K feet elevation).

I'm am sea level with the stock pulley, boost gauge does show 6PSI on mine, doing donuts in the dirt I can get the computer to through codes (starved for fuel). Floor it on the freeway will not throw codes though.

Sorry OP for steering your thread off coarse..

$5K can get you a fair condition 4th gen Firebird/Camaro with an LS engine or a 350z. If it goes kaboom, then you still have the truck.

or you could do URD Spec U full exhaust with headers, URD Intake/MAF, and keep the rest for suspension mods.

Imagine a 4.7 with a S/C on it in a Taco. Light truck and lots of power.

    Add exhaust and.... cream...

I sure thought I would loose mpg but I made a trip up to Washington and got 19.2 and usually 14.5 - 15.5 around town... I never dreamed numbers like that were possible. You put your foot in it and its a whole different story, it will drop into the 12's in a hurry... ;)
