How to get OK Google to hear me?

How do I get OK Google on my Android phone to hear me while Im in my 2018 Tacoma?

 

You pick up the phone and select the google app while risking the ticket and/or Death.

Alternatively, use a smartwatch that you can talk into, which I sometimes use to do simple stuff. I haven't fully gotten a successful reply to text command out of it yet though.

Or you press the button on the wheel and talk to entune, the special-ed cousin of Google.

Or you can have a $1k Galaxy Note 9 and have the worst AI assistant ever which is Bixby!!!

 

Yeah, shouted at it like it was a dog pissing on the carpet.

 

The voice recognition software is fucking terrible.
My wife would laugh as I would argue with siri for 5 minutes.

 

I've got the Samsung Note 9 and Bixby is an absolute joke . There was a programming error that caused major issues with Bixby rendering it totally useless . There's lots of info on how to disable Bixby

 

I'm still on the S8. One of the first apps I searched for was BK Disabler because I can't fuggin stand Bixby or any of the other Samsung bloat.

 

If I go to Google Maps and push the microphone icon I can speak to Google Maps through the truck provided that I'm clicked over on to the Bluetooth audio on the radio set. Also I Am speech to texting this message right now and I think it is going through the microphone of the truck.

 

On my 2014 Nissan Frontier and on my 2016 F-150 I was able to find ways to fiddle fuck to get the OK Google to work through the trucks microphone. So far I've had no luck with the Tacoma

 

This guy is surfing Tacoma World while in his Tacoma. That's pretty damn hardcore.
