I have a 2012 Toyota Tacoma can’t seem to get my alarm back. I think it’s stuck in valet mode. Used to be able to remote lock and unlock my truck and it would sound my horn once and twice for unlock. Now it doesn’t beep and the alarm doesn’t work anymore. I had a trailer brake controller installed and I think the guy who installed it hit that button that’s under my steering column. Now I can’t find anything on the internet that explains the steps to do to get it out of valet mode (I assume it’s in valet mode). I turned my key to the On position and held the button and the blue light came on but that’s as far as I get and still can’t activate my alarm. Anyone know the procedure. Seen press the brake 10 times and turn the key, etc… nothing seems to work. Went to autonation Toyota and they wanted to charge me over $150 to have them do the sequence. Oh and panic button still works. Please some advice. Thanks
