Hey, I live in North Jersey. Currently I resigned from my previous job and while I am looking for a new one, i dont want to sit on my ass, so i was thinking I can use taco.

I was wondering, does all kinds of hauling needs commercial insurance and plates? Is there something I can do part time without changing insurance and all that? I am not planning to use trailer, I just want to offer services using my bed and cab also maybe.

Also, can I get hired by a company using my truck to haul their services?

I am not sure how any of this works, i would appreciate any info/advice, thank you.

I knew a guy who did that for a while. He advertised locally and on FB marketplace, and mostly targeted Home Depot/Lowes customers who didn’t have their own truck to haul appliances and such. He did it as a side hustle and I don’t think he earned enough to live one, but he had a few different things going on to make ends meet.

Yes something like that. How about moving companies? Can I register with them and move things and get paid? I am just trying to avoid changing insurance to commercial, i wont be using trailer and just want to move stuff like TVs, furniture and such. Its just something to do for month or two before i find a job.

Thanks, ill make post there and see if i can get some answers.
