I see alot of you guys got your trucks for really low and extras were included. Im planning on upgrading to a TRD OR 4x4 but my question is how do you guys go about lowering the price while adding extras. Also alot of these dealers insist on getting an extended warranty due to all of the computers in the cars, do you guys get warranties why or why not? . Any tips are welcome thank you.

Stay out of the box. I paid cash for mine, and when the time came to go to the box, I said no. Sales guy said I had to, part of the process. I told him to go, pretend to be me and answer no to every offer thrown out. He did, after visiting the BM and GM of the shop. It took all of about 4 mins total.

    Stay out of the box

wondering if the MT config you got made that quite a bit easier. MT guys seem to be pretty damn certain of what they do and don't want, and I'm sure the sales team knows.

the point wasn't about paying cash though. he's talking about steering clear of the dealer adds.

Now is a good time to get a '17 since the '18's are about to roll out, that is when the best deals are to be made. Get quotes from multiple dealerships to get a feel for the price and try to compare apples to apples and see which one will offer the best deal and you can have them compete for your business. I've noticed a lot of the trucks already have extras added on by the dealer, however you can ask them to throw them in afterwards to sweeten the deal even more. I personally didn't bother with the extended warranty, some might find it useful but usually that is just another way for the dealer to make extra money on the sale. You could also check the "What are you paying for your 2017 Tacoma" thread and see if any of the deals people got are local and you could try the dealerships they went to. If you are patient you can get an extraordinary deal. Just have to find the right dealer that will do it.

First you are trading up? Don't discuss this until you lock in the best price. Take your truck to other dealerships to see what they will give for a trade.
