    Yeah that works. But it takes practice and patience .. especially the part about allowing the truck to slowly lose speed while going up hill. There's definitely a finesse to it. If I do that in my V6, I can fool the tranny into staying in 5th, and keep my mpg on the uphill around 19. Drop into 4th and maintain speed, and it drops to 12 on the same uphill stretch. I'm breaking 20mpg now during winter (with a lot of cold temps and short trips). This summer I'm going to shoot for 22 - 24mpg. Again that's V6 auto. :)

    Afe Pro dry cold air intake, lce header, dynamax super turbo muffler, scangauge II booming stereo
    22-24 on av6 its definitely a good number! I just did my first commute to work on a new lce header and I found a sweet spot! Fifth gear at 45-50 gives me an average number of 34 mpg. hopefully I can up my average on that now! I will have to say I am noticing a slight improvement with the lce header versus the dt.
