This tutorial will teach you how to have a link in an image so that the image can be clicked on and it will work as a link, sending the person to another page (i.e. Build thread, free stuff thread etc.). It will also show the user a change in their mouse pointer when hovering over the image so they know that the image itself is linked. How to edit your signature is in post #2 of this thread.

Step 1) Inserting an image. While making a post, click on the "insert image" tool at the top, see picture below. Or you can upload an image by clicking on the "Upload a File" button (if so, skip to Step 3).

Step 2) Once the insert image tool opens up, copy and paste your image URL into the space provided. Make sure the image has an extension that will work (.png, .jpeg, .gif...etc.). Click insert and if you have the correct URL, your image will appear.

Step 3) Now that you have an image inserted, highlight it.

Step 4) Once the image is highlighted, click on the little chain link at the top to insert the URL you want the image to be linked to. A URL you will use is whatever web address the page has that you want to link it to.

Step 5) Copy the URL that you will be using to link the page, then paste that URL into the area for the link to be inserted. Click insert and you are all set! Now if you hover over or click on the image it will act as a link. This process will also work with text if you want to link text instead of just pasting the URL, highlight the text and follow the steps.
